Pendleton 1915 major league barnstorming tour
A post-season barnstorming trip of major leaguers from the American and National Leagues took the players through Pendleton, Oregon for a November 13, 1915 game. This snapshot originates from the estate of Boston Red Sox player Dick Hoblitzell and shows the teams on horse drawn wagons. Hoblitzell's note on the reverse reads, "Pendleton Nov. 13." The "Nationals" won 7-3 over the "Americans," according to the November 27, 1915 issue of the newspaper Sporting Life.
